Agency Description/Mission: The ICRC investigations violations of the Idaho law prohibiting discrimination in employment, education, real estate transactions, and public accommodations which is based on race, color, sex, national origin or religion. Age discrimination in employment is also prohibited, and covers persons aged 40 and older. Disability discrimination is prohibited in the areas of employment and real estate transactions. It is illegal for an employer to take any adverse action (retaliate) against a person because he or she has filed a complaint, assisted in an investigation, or otherwise protested against an act or policy believed to be discriminatory. If it looks as if you could be a victim of illegal discrimination, call or write the Idaho Human Rights Commission.
