WASHINGTON (Nov. 5, 2021) – National nonprofit Workplace Fairness advocates for workers' rights and provides resource pages for workers about their rights. In the USA, the national minimum wage was created by Congress to provide for minimum wages, overtime pay, recordkeeping requirements and child labor regulations. The purpose was to stabilize the economy and protect workers in the labor force.

The Minimum Wage - Workplace Fairness page explains what minimum wage is and how it might affect you. It details who the Fair Labor Standards Act covers, as well as what wage applies for probationary periods, minors, and training. This page also explains how minimum wage laws affect commissions, tips.
